21st Century Community Learning Centers

The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) initiative is a key component of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Magic Valley’s- Rupert Unit program. BGCMV receives funds from the 21st Century Community Learning Center to offer programming to over 100 at-risk elementary school children (grades K-5) from four of Minidoka County School Districts schools- Acequia, Paul, Heyburn, and Rupert Elementary’s. Bus transportation is provided by the school district to our two sites. The program operates 2.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday throughout the school year (38 weeks) at both our Rupert Elementary and Boys & Girls Clubs campuses, and 11 hours per day during school holidays and in-service days at our Boys & Girls Club campus.

The Club provides expanded academic and personal enrichment activities to support and enhance students’ academic achievement and personal growth. 21st CCLC programs provide youth with project- and problem-based programming in Reading and Language Arts, Math, Science, Arts and Music, Physical Education, Character Education, Drug Prevention, and Tutoring.
