It’s all about identity. That’s what Cassidy taught herself. Although she grew up accustomed to her family’s substance abuse and violence, she refuses to let it define her. She doesn’t let her experience in foster care or her struggle with demons stop her. Now she’s found herself at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Magic Valley through her passion for music and writing, and her faith. Her identity is hers, no matter how the world wants to define her.
Each year the Boys & Girls Clubs of Magic Valley selects one outstanding youth between the ages of 14 and 18 to represent our organization as our Youth of the Year. This years Youth of the Year Event was again presented by the Uhlig Foundation. Through their sponsorship each candidate was presented with scholarship money to be used for future educational purposes. Congratulations to our 2016 YOY Winner Cassidy Littleton!
Cassidy will now go onto compete at the State Youth of the Year competition held in Boise, ID at the capital in February 2016 where she will compete against other Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Years’ from around the state of Idaho.
